Outstanding Achievement Pupils are awarded an Outstanding Achievement grade in their annual school report if they have no D’s in any of the compulsory subjects and their average grade of all compulsory subjects is at least 1.5. This means that pupils receive an Outstanding Achievement grade if they attained A’s in at least half of their compulsory subjects and B’s in the remaining compulsory subjects. Receiving a C does not hinder the title Outstanding Achievement if pupils have received A’s in more than half of their compulsory subjects. Where the number of compulsory subjects is uneven, it is rounded up.
Good progress Pupil receive a “Good Progress” in their annual school report if they have no less than a C in any of the compulsory subjects and the grade point average of all compulsory subjects more than 1.5 and no higher than 2.0.Programmes for gifted pupils For gifted and talented pupils we offer special programmes based on the Renzulli model. The basic idea behind this is to allow each pupil as much tuition as they need. Gifted pupils can leave class during revision, practice/training and consolidation phases in order to dedicate this time to self-chosen projects. The exact working conditions are determined in an agreement, which offers gifted pupils additional challenges and allows the rest of the class to practice the necessary curriculum uninterrupted. Participants of this project are chosen by class teachers, but pupils can also register themselves with Mag. Edith Achleitner-Koch, Mag. Christoph Hagenbüchl or Mag. Ulrike Shark.
Performance folders for pupils Decrees and certificates for individual pupils’ special application in an outside the school are collected in a performance folder. These document which particular tasks pupils have executed, recognizing additional commitment and helping to motivate co-participation; additional qualifications and individual qualities are attested therein.
Early-warning system The school operates an “early warning system”. In cases where it is felt that a pupil is in imminent danger of failing a subject, parents will be notified by registered letter. |
