Advice and support
Support of students in academia, personal or with medical problems is administered by teachers, counsellors, psychologists and school doctors.
Form teacher The first contact person for pupils and parents.
Pupil counsellors (Mag. Hemma Poledna, Mag. Alois Kohlmayr) are the contact persons for school and personal problems as well as questions about academic course choices within the school. (See consultation times as posted on the notice board, appointments made by phone are also accepted).
School doctor The school doctors are Dr. Elfriede Wilfinger and Dr. Rainer Rupprecht. Consultation hours are announced at the beginning of the school year. The doctors’ rooms are on the second floor of the new building.
The school psychologist is available for consultation at the school once a month. (See notice board for details; advance registration through the secretariat is required).
Graduate social worker As part of the school social project X Point, all pupils and other school partners have access to graduate social workers for consultation and support with problems. The social workers hold consultation hours at the school (announced at the beginning of the school year) and can be reached via mobile (0664 5243370) or

. The social workers’ consultation room is next door to the doctors’ room.
School rules
The school rules are posted in every classroom and are to be adhered to. Respectful interaction between all those working or attending BG/BRG Klosterneuburg is a matter of course.
Absenteeism
Absences are only allowed in the following cases: when the absence is justifiedwhen previous permission for absence has been grantedwhen exemption from participating in certain subjects has been granted.
Parents/legal guardians of pupils of compulsory school age (up to 16) must notify the form tutor or principal of any hindrance to their attendance without delay (however by the third day at the latest) verbally or in writing, providing reasons. Upon the head teacher’s or principal’s demand, written notification or a doctor’s certificate must be provided.
Upon the request of the parent/legal guardian or the pupil, the form teacher or the principal can grant permission for absence for important reasons from individual lessons for up to one day.
Should a pupil be absent from lessons for more than a week without justification and, also have omitted to submit notice even after written request, the pupil is considered to be no longer registered. Reinstating the pupil is only permissible with authorization from the Board of Education for Lower Austria.
Catching up on missed school work as soon as possible is the pupils’ own responsibility. They will receive the support of the class and the teachers.
Pupil government – Pupil Representative Body (PRB)
The following pupil representatives are elected in confidential and personal elections:
A class representative and deputy from the pupils of one class
A representative for the class representative and one deputy for the Lower School AHS of the class reps from the Lower School
A class representative and two deputies from the Upper School pupils
Three pupil representatives for the PRB (members of the PRB are the class representative and both deputies).
Financial support
Pupils in financial need receive support from the BMUKK from between €50.00 and €150.00 if they participate in one school event lasting at least five days (e.g. sport weeks or language weeks). Deadline for applications: 31 March. Contact: Mag. Günther Vanek.
In addition, the Parents’ Association also provides financial support. An informal application to the Parents’ Association is required.
Peer mediation
Peer mediators are pupils from the Upper School who deal with conflicts that arise in school life. Contact can be made personally or through their mailboxes. Information is posted on the board in auditorium 2. Brochures about the mediation are kept in class rooms.

All communication or consultation with the pupil counsellors, doctors, psychologists, social workers and mediators is handled with complete confidentiality.
